Racing
Thoroughbred racing is where it all began at Oaklawn. We are best known as the home of the Racing Festival of the South and $1.25 million Arkansas Derby. Over the last decade, the track has played host to some of the biggest names in the sport. In 2015, the track helped launch the near-perfect season of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, who won both the Rebel Stakes and Arkansas Derby enroute to becoming the first horse in 37 years to win in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes.
